Nosy Be or Big Island is between the mouth of the canal of Mozambique and the Isle of Camore opposite the Island of Madagascar. Volcanic lakes inhabited by crocodiles, crystal clear Waterfalls surrounded by the scent of vanilla and ylang ylang. Vegetation as unique as the Animals which populate the island. Only here they can live undisturbed in their natural environment. Nosy Be is symbolised by a smile, typical of its inhabitants, a nation famous for beauty and kindness.

WHERE WE ARE

Far only 10 minutes from the regional capital Hell Ville, you find a little village called Ambondrona. Left the main street, to few footsteps from the beach there is the new Manta Diving and Excursions centre with its staff ready to welcome you and to show you how much marvelous and generous the Nature can be.

WHEN TO VISIT

There is no period of the year in which Nosy Be cannot offer you something unique. The monsoon months are February and March, and during this period the atmospheric conditions are not conducive to underwater activities. Based on your holiday requirements we would be happy to advise you on the best period to visit. Both above and below the sea there is no recommended “peak season” every minute in this corner of paradise is a dream come true.

Temperatures reach a peak during the rain season in March, while the minimum is in August of approx 22 °C, dry season. The ocean during the year does not register strong climatic changes, the water temperature goes from 26 °C to 30 °C. During the coldest period a 5 mm diving suit is more than sufficient.
